With weary legs and aching bones but big toothy grins, we want to say a big thanks to everyone who got on board with our Mt Everest (aka Mt Coolum x 42) mountain climb fundraiser for the Red Cross' work with survivors of the Nepal quake.
We summitted Mt Coolum a total of 179 times - that's 4.26 ascents of Mt Everest!
AND IN DOING IT, WE RAISED $6614 FOR NEPAL. HOORAY!!
We think that's a pretty good effort. So to all the people who got involved, from cutting up flags to keep track of our ascents, to entertaining kids in the carpark, putting out signs and collection tins, giving us some excellent local media coverage (a special shout to Seven Local News and the Sunshine Coast Daily!), throwing in your loose change, and of course, actually climbing up the mountain thousands of times - THANK YOU!
And we're sure, Nepal says thanks too!
