Travel stories, inspiration, news and musing

We are the dreamers, the seekers, the travellers, the adventurers, the optimists. It's nice to meet you! There are lots of us with the same DNA - we look forward to sharing the journey with you.

The space between us

Aimee Pearce

It's no secret that travel runs deep in our veins here at Wanderlust People HQ. We need absolutely no encouragement to pounce on a sale fare and you would be able to talk us into booking a weekend away quicker than you can say "get me outta here"! We could go on for hours on end about the millions of reasons we love to travel, but one of my absolute favourite reasons is the "space" it creates.

There is something beautiful about escaping the everyday through travel. Especially when a trip comes at the end of a particularly crazy season in life. I love nothing more than jumping on a plane, taking a few deep breaths and feeling that dizzy excitement that comes with the knowledge that what lies ahead is unfamiliar. You might be prepared for beauty, for adventure, for relaxation for replenishment - regardless of your travel vibe, your know that it will be completely different from your "normal".

For me, creating that space (both physically by heading to a different country or location and emotionally by switching off from my everyday routine) has ALWAYS resulted in a happier, more balanced ME! Because it provides a space to dream, to contemplate, to reflect, to discuss and just to appreciate. And trust me, there is a heck of a lot to appreciate in this big wide world.

This space in the French countryside will do nicely thank you.
