Our fav winter warmers

Aimee Pearce

If you live in Queensland like me, or the South Pacific like Elissa currently does, winter is a bit of a novelty. It seems to make a brief but dramatic appearance. You know, the kind - insanely overhyped and strangely dealt with in this confused, eclectic mix of - oh my goodness we must bust out the fires and the beanies and the winter jackets and extra blankets but we could still totally walk in the beach in a singlet if we felt so inclined? If you're from a place with a legitimate winter like Alaska or America or heck, even Melbourne, you probably won't get it, what with your heated flooring arctic winter winds, but here on the coast we do everything "casually".

So when you catch even the glimpse of a winter day, you make the most of you. You definitely bust out your winter woolies and crank the fire to enjoy the cosy vibes for the fleeting time they appear. At the moment we have had a few (I mean very few) hints of dropping temperatures. So to make the occasion, I thought I would share some of my favourite winter warmers from our store. So snuggle by the fire, pour yourself a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy browsing through some of these beauties - all fairtrade, handmade and sourced from around the world Wanderlust People style.

What could be cosier than a spot in the sunshine to snuggle up with a beautiful throw and a good book.
