One of the best things about travel is collecting some of the culture and heritage of the places we visit. There is no doubt that the people, places and traditions behind some of the beautiful treasures we find on our journeys, really do make a personal impact. It inspires us, reminds us and therefore we want to season our lives with these artifacts. But sometimes the cultural significance of treasures can be overlooked and there is a line where this can cross into cultural appropriation and basically equals "offensive travel behaviour".
